I can't express how excited I am to finally create this book! In fact, I had so much fun with making the campaign, I made a bunch of themed goodies based on the paintings! From art prints, to pillow cases & blankets (It's a bed time story after all) and of course the glow in the dark pin!

Greetings Muses!
Wow! I Can't believe that January is almost over! It's been a crazy month to be sure! From unexpected house renos to taking the leap of faith to set up not only one, but two crowd funding campaigns in close succession! (Though I will only focus on the first one in this update because it is so close to my heart!)
The first campaign of the year launches 29 February 2023 for my long anticipated kids book "When I kiss your cheek at night"! After 10 years, I am finally ready to release it to the world. Written and fully illustrated by me! Not only that, I am having so much fun creating the extra fun items around the book. Like a glow in the dark pin and pillow cases!
This kids book follows the journey of a small child from the moment the parent kisses them goodnight, through dreams and adventures and back to the morning when they wake up to snuggle with their parent once more.
The art switches styles between the dream world (more painterly) and the "real world"(More cartoony). And while I am convinced I am allergic to drawing with so much colour, I am very thrilled with the final results so far! I only have 5 more illustrations to go, but everything will be done by the time the campaign launches on 29 February. (Though my secret goal is this week so I can order a sample to share with everyone ^_^)
I would love your support. Whether you can back it or simply share the campaign with friends and family who may have young children aged 2-10 in their lives. Every parent needs this story in their lives!
And what is a bed time story with out some cozy pillows to snuggle up with? So I made some pillows for the book ^_^
I will have various designs based on the different scenes in the story. And speaking from experience of owning other pillows with my art, these are velvety soft!
These are only a few of the things I am creating for this kids book campaign!
I can't wait to hold this book in my hands. I have recited it hundreds of times to my kids at bedtime, and every time I have told it to someone they almost unanimously react with "I need this book". And because I am running it so early in the year, it'll make the perfect Christmas gift!

I am thrilled to announce that I just mailed off the last box to you guys! If you live in Canada and the USA, you will have received a tracking number in your messages. To all my European friends, your shipping is unfortunately untracked as the cost per book was well over $100. 😞. So please allow for 3-6 weeks for your books to arrive.

Exciting news!
All dragon & wolf boxes have been shipped and tracking numbers given in your messages. The first one is destined to arrive today 🥰. All storyteller tiers are also on its way, unless you didn't do the survey and I don't have your address! (Hint, hint, nudge, nudge-get those surveys done please!)
Asof today I am locking and charging all Backerkit orders and addresses as I package the next wave of tiers, starting with witch boxes and then early bird tiers.
If your order is locked it's because I packaged and labelled it for shipping and it'll be on its way next week!
Soon you will hold your own copy in your hands!
For most of you this means getting your books before Christmas! 🎄😁
If you have not completed your survey yet, please do so as soon as possible as I can't ship your items if you don't and this means a delay in getting it to you as I'm taking 3 weeks off from fulfillment around Christmas to work on other stuff.

All digital rewards will be sent once I lock Backerkit & charge cards (if there's a balance) eBook links have been sent both via message, as well as an update to appropriate tiers. It will also be sent through Backerkit along with the unlocked stretch goals.
Packaging
When you receive your book you will notice I put them in plastic bags in order to protect them from moisture and rain damage. You will find the signature & numbers in a specially designed page after the table of contents.
The signature page. Number will be in the bottom right corner. Note: only collector's edition hardcovers are numbered. It is a limited number of 50 books for the Kickstarter. And only these 50 will be numbered. Numbers are randomly assigned.

Delivery mode has officially been engaged! All the Kickstarter items have now arrived and today I sent out the first batch of boxes 😁.
Me finally able to bike after my knee surgery and delivering the first boxes!
This is such a satisfying part of the process 🥰.
Signing, packing and adding an extra dose of love and gratitude to each box I send out into the world. No matter how small or large.
The pile is growing as I work through signing the books and packing them up. So much love to each of you for making this a reality!
This is why I love Kickstarter. And will probably launch every book and series through it.
One of my favourite items is the exclusive returning backer cards! If this is your first time supporting me, don't worry. I plan to add this to all future projects as well. Each one unique to the campaign. Signed and dated.
And I just want to take a moment to gush over how incredibly beautiful the character cards and stretch goals turned out!
Seeing art on my computer is nice...but holding these, the soft touch texture, the rich colour, it's an experience all it's own!
Another product that blew my mind was the collector's edition hardcover! I thought it would be thinner, but I used the higher quality paper (150 gsm) and boy, it's gorgeous in real life!
I love when the real thing looks like the mock ups I designed!
I can't get over the quality of this book! The dust jacket has a slightly velvety texture and the weight of the book is substantial!
I don't remember if I shared this video with you guys yet. I took it as I unboxed the first batch.
As there is quite a bit of books to sign, I am starting with the dragon boxes & book boxes, followed by early bird tiers. I'll be sending them as I go along over the next month.
